Departments In Need

FIRE

FIRE

Eyes in the Sky are an invaluable asset to fire departments! Be it a structure fire or land fire the tactical advantages to direct ground assets efficiently and safely cannot be underestimated. Situational awareness is key when fighting a fire.

RESCUE

RESCUE

Eyes in the Sky for search and Rescue via helicopter and or fixed-wing aircraft have been implemented for years. However, high cost and lack of rapid deployment can cost lives. UAV’s are low cost, portable, fast deployment solutions that can be fitted with Thermal and other types of sensors.

POLICE

POLICE

Eyes in the Sky for Police has always proven to be a valuable asset. From suspect apprehension to crowd control are examples of use. However, the high cost to taxpayers and the number of aerial assets create limitations. UAV’s are low cost, portable, fast deployment solutions that can be fitted with Thermal and other types of sensors.

WATER RESCUE

WATER RESCUE

Eyes in the Sky for search & rescue water missions are life savers! The
average cost for water search and rescue can cost as much as $25,000 per day using conventional aerial & boating assets. UAV’s, are low cost, portable, fast deployment solutions that can be fitted with Thermal and other types of sensors. And can cover fast expanses in short periods of time. In the winter the difference between life and death is counted in seconds.

HAZ-MAT

HAZ-MAT

Eyes in the Sky on the scene of a HAZ-MAT event helps eliminate risk and contamination to the ground crew and the environment. A situation can quickly be assessed with a UAV fitted with cameras and sensors. Fast deployment reduces time-consuming PPE rigging requirements that may not even be required. When a Spill takes place, for example, minutes can mean the difference between safe containment and environmental disaster!

SECURITY

SECURITY

Eyes in the Sky, for crowd control, significant events, perimeter, and border security can help reduce risk to the public at large. We now live in a society where security cameras are almost everywhere. But a mobile aerial camera can provide additional security. Visible light, night vision and thermal can allow officials a superior advantage.

Donations

According to Wikipedia the term Public safety may encompass many different agencies from fire, Rescue, Police, Coast Guard, Haz-Mat, Security agencies and border security. All of these agencies provide some level of services for our communities. When a need arises, we depend upon them for protection from loss of life and or Injury, damage and or loss of property both private and business. And sadly all too often protection from criminals and even terrorist threats! Many who serve are paid professionals; however, smaller communities with limited budgets depend upon large groups staffed with Volunteers who risk life and limb day in and day out! It is these that perhaps are the ones most in need of the NPS-DDP support. Your contribution, no matter the size will go a long way to help those who protect us!

Open Letter From The Founder

Dear Friends: The taxes that we all pay on a federal and or local level are in part used to help fund our Public Safety services in support of the needs of our local communities. It is no secret that some towns and cities are funded better than others; however, there is one common thread no matter the department or the amount of funding they have. That is they are for the most part staffed by selfless individuals that risk their lives to save person and property, day in and day out! Public safety officials, are to be highly commended for the efforts that they make on behalf of the communities they serve. Airborne Works will remain dedicated to assuring they have the best possible  UAV / UAS / tools available.

Over the past few years, Airborne Works has been working closely with many public safety departments, first responders, police departments and others across the country to educate, train and provide UAV / UAS tools and technology. Aerial platforms are tools that have proven invaluable to help public safety organizations across the country perform their jobs safely and effectively. Sadly more often than not, many do not have the budget to afford the inflated prices of this type of hardware. Why do we say inflated prices?

The UAV industry is relatively new and has also recently become monopolized by 1 or 2 large players who will remain nameless, they know who they are. Airborne Works sees a problem with the lack of competition in this industry as this opens the door for corporate greed as some of these companies appear to be fleecing our public safety agencies merely because they are the only solutions available! (For Now!)

Working daily within this industry, we see things the general public and our clients cannot see taking place from hardware manufacturers and some distributors. Frankly, it is a bit disturbing to us that ( some ) treat their client base as if a cash cow! Airborne Works has an inside view of this industry and will continue to work hard to partner with tech companies and supporters to get our clients and our public safety agencies the most costeffective and quality solutions they need to do their jobs safely and efficiently.

Here are a few facts to consider as you contemplate your support of the NPS–DDP

#1 There is no doubt that UAV/UAS platforms are valuable tools that are making operations safer, more efficient and
saving countless lives.

#2 The UAV / UAS industry is here to stay; the FAA is working hard to implement UAV / UAS into National Air space (NAS) safely, and doing a great job at this enormous task.

#3 The technology advancements are happening at breakneck speed, with no real end in sight!

#4 The use cases for UAV /UAS technologies are ever expanding, and will continue to do so as long as point #2 continues!

The bottom line is our public safety agencies across the country are under very tight budgets. Please consider a small donation in any amount to help us help them to get the tools they cannot afford at this time. Together we can make a difference one gift at a time! The reality is the longer these departments in need go without effective tools, the more risk of lives and property being lost! Please take some time to learn more about how you may be able to contribute, as an individual, small company, large corporation, media entity, or grant writer to this most important program. If this issue is important to you, PLEASE take a moment of your time to share this open letter to all who you think may also wish to support the NPS–DDP! We are here to stay until either, budgets increase for the departments,(fat chance of that right?) or we outfit every department in need through your support.

Further Airborne Works will strive to meet or beat any price for ANY hardware to assure National public safety agencies get the tools they need. Please Note: Every single penny and or hardware donation to the NPS-DDP will go towards supporting and promoting this cause for the growing list of departments who request a gift from our program.

Please consider this biblical principle that applies, found at 2 Corinthians 8:14

“ but that by means of an equalizing, your surplus at the present time might offset their need, so that their surplus might also offset your deficiency, that there may be an equalizing”

Together we can create this “equalizing” one donation at a time!

Thank you for your support and interest!
