PropelUAS, a division of Evans Consulting, is proud to partner with the National Public Safety – Drone Donation Program (NPSDDP). PropelUAS provides grant-writing that will guide departments in obtaining federal funding. Although federal grant dollars are widely available to help launch drone programs, many public safety entities are unaware of their existence or unsure how to access funding.
In addition to providing grant writing services, PropelUAS donated an Autel Evo II drone to the NPS-DDP for distribution to an appropriate public safety department determined by NPS-DDP. PropelUAS will also engage its hardware supplier on behalf of the NPS-DDP regarding future, recurring donations to increase the level of hardware support overall.
“Drone technology provides numerous life-saving benefits to communities served by public safety departments and first responders,” says James Felton, PropelUAS Division Lead. “However, the cost to launch and maintain a drone program is a significant obstacle for departments nationwide, many of which have tight budgets. Through a partnership, we intend to not only secure funds for public safety departments to launch drone programs, but also to help build a strong foundation for these programs that will help ensure future success.”
PropelUAS leverages 20+ years of expertise in aviation, drones, and human-centered change to guide organizations through a continually evolving regulatory and technological landscape. We help organizations across many industries in both public and private sectors to create tailored strategies for the development, integration, and communication of drone products and services.
Our guidance around the complex applications of drones allows organizations to focus on their core business and maximize their resources while avoiding inefficient research and challenges associated with interpreting rules and regulations.
NPS-DDP accepts donations from private citizens, drone manufacturers, or corporate donors like SkyBrowse, Autel Robotics and Fox Fury lighting solutions. This program then matches applicants with donors to provide hardware and or software and now with our new partnership with PropelUAS we even offer grant writing resources to as many departments in need as possible.
There are no strings attached to this donation program, we only require the following: #1 Each department must have a licensed FAA 107 pilot available. #2 Each department will be required to sign a liability waiver #3 We would ask all departments to help us get as much media coverage of this donation as a platform to help educate others about the great work this program is providing. Please note top priority for donations goes to departments that do not already have an existing drone program in place, Any department may apply.
The mission of NPS-DDP was founded by Airborne Works with a focus to recruit others to help support our national public safety departments nationwide with UAV/UAS technology through voluntary donations, be it hardware, financial and/or media support from the private, corporate and community sectors.
Together we can help support those who give so much. The goal is to help put “eyes in the sky for every department need” ™.
