Helping first responders secure funding for the equipment, training, and technology they need to get home safely.

Hello, friends! My name is Lauren and I am the Founder of Public Safety Grant Writing, LLC. A little bit of background…I spent my first year of university at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland studying English Literature and honing my writing skills (yes, it is like Harry Potter World over there). I ended up transferring back to the US and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. My background is in retail management and corporate marketing, but I dreamed of finding a career I could be passionate about that would make a positive impact on the world. My father has a Master’s degree in English and always encouraged me to read and write growing up – needless to say, I’ve been trained in the English language from a very young age! I also grew up in a first responder family – my mother is a nurse and my stepdad, David, whom I love dearly, is a retired career firefighter paramedic. David ALWAYS told me I should write grants, but I never imagined that was the path I would take! I truly love what I do, and I’m honored to be able to work with the BEST first responder clients. It means a lot that I can play a part in getting our first responders the funding they need to get home safely because that’s what it’s all about.

The Partnership

The Board of Directors of the National Public Safety Drone Donation Program are extremely privileged to have partners like Lauren join us. We want to be a resource for public safety to make it easier for them to obtain the assets that they need, whether it be through grant opportunities, donations, or just having resources available to help navigate the complexities of filing for a grant. Partnering with organizations like Public Safety Grant Writing, LLC will help us to give back in other ways to all the public safety workers that work so hard to keep us all safe.
It is an honor to partner with NPS-DDP, an organization that works tirelessly to help the public safety community get access to life-saving equipment and technology. Drones are an exceptional resource for public safety agencies and can be used for a multitude of things – search and rescue, mapping crime scenes and accidents, improving situational awareness, and combatting fires. Overall, drones increase safety for both first responders and the public, as well as helping our public safety agencies function more efficiently. NPS-DDP is a leader when it comes to helping public safety agencies get access to drone technology and I hope that other organizations follow suit in the future, as many grants do not allow funding for drones.

“Eyes In The Sky For Every Department In Need"

The mission of NPS-DDP was founded by Airborne Works with a focus to recruit others to help support our national public safety departments nationwide with UAV/UAS technology through voluntary donations, be it hardware, financial and/or media support from the private, corporate and community sectors.

Together we can help support those who give so much. The goal is to help put “Eyes In The Sky For Every Department In Need” ™.
