Hello, friends! My name is Lauren and I am the Founder of Public Safety Grant Writing, LLC. A little bit of background…I spent my first year of university at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland studying English Literature and honing my writing skills (yes, it is like Harry Potter World over there). I ended up transferring back to the US and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. My background is in retail management and corporate marketing, but I dreamed of finding a career I could be passionate about that would make a positive impact on the world. My father has a Master’s degree in English and always encouraged me to read and write growing up – needless to say, I’ve been trained in the English language from a very young age! I also grew up in a first responder family – my mother is a nurse and my stepdad, David, whom I love dearly, is a retired career firefighter paramedic. David ALWAYS told me I should write grants, but I never imagined that was the path I would take! I truly love what I do, and I’m honored to be able to work with the BEST first responder clients. It means a lot that I can play a part in getting our first responders the funding they need to get home safely because that’s what it’s all about.
