WHEN: September, 6 2022

Their Request

“We are looking to start a public safety drone program to assist the tri-county (Union, Snyder,
Northumberland) the area as well as our County EMA agencies. We do have one Part 107 Certified Pilot so
far with more first responders interested in working under either Part 107 or the COE. We are looking for
a thermal capable drone for quick responses to residential structure fires, wildfire size ups, search and
rescue, as well as helping local law enforcement agencies when needed. We are directly tied to a
regional Wild-land fire crew with most of its members being from our department including myself.” Said Kale Geiswite

Their Story

Duboistown Fire Department
“We can’t think of a more deserving department than New Berlin. We have been requested at least 2
times by Union County for our drone. The most recent incident happened this month. There is definitely a
need. “ Said Paul Vavra It should be noted that this is the third donation from Duboistown Fire
Department through NPS-DDP.org in an effort to help support underfunded public safety agencies to help
make a real difference.

National Public Safety Drone donation Program / NPS-DDP.org
“In emergency situations, every second is deemed important. UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and drone
technology provide lifesaving assistance to public safety agencies with emergency calls. Unfortunately,
many public safety departments across the nation cannot afford to purchase drones, as the cost of the
technology is very high, and this forces many to simply go without them. Our Foundation is trying very hard with each donation to get the word out to more departments that are retiring all technology to be part of this
recycling program to help give back to those less fortunate who do not receive adequate funding for such
technology ” Said Mark Langley founder and CEO of NPS-DDP.org:
